📦 How storage works

Storage belongs to the project owner's account. When contributors upload files to your project — designs, audio, code — it all counts toward your storage quota, not theirs.

This means an active community can fill your storage faster than you might expect. A project with 100 active contributors uploading art and audio files can use up to 1 GB within weeks.

Contributors don't need a paid plan to upload — they use the project owner's storage. If the project storage is full, no one can upload new files until the owner frees up space or upgrades.

Questions about pricing

All uploads go to the project owner's storage quota. If you own a project and 50 people upload art and audio to it, those files all count toward your storage — not theirs. Contributors don't need their own paid plan to upload files.
Yes — the Free plan gives you full access to all 4 task types, 1 project, community voting, and 1 GB of storage. No credit card, no trial period. It stays free forever.
When your storage is full, no one — including contributors — can upload new files to your project. You'll see a notification with your current usage and upgrade options. You can free up space by deleting old files, or upgrade to get more storage instantly.
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. When you cancel, your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period — you won't be charged again. After that, your account reverts to Free. Your files are never deleted. They stay exactly where they are — you just can't upload new files if you're over the Free plan's storage limit. See our Terms of Service for full details.
Nothing — your files are safe. We never delete files because of a plan change. If you have 8 GB of files and downgrade to Free (1 GB limit), all 8 GB of files remain accessible. You simply can't upload new files until you either upgrade again or delete files to get below the limit. This also applies to files uploaded by contributors to your projects.
Payments are handled securely through LemonSqueezy, our Merchant of Record. You can pay with credit/debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All taxes and invoicing are handled automatically — the price you see is the price you pay.
Since Copinion has a fully functional Free plan, you can test everything before subscribing. We generally don't offer refunds, but if you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using your paid features, contact us within 14 days at hello@copinion.gg and we'll help.
Yes. Your plan applies to your entire account. All your projects benefit from the storage quota, poll limits, moderator slots, and other features included in your plan.
